We're on a mission to get rid of desk pain, for good.

ergotru was built around one question: what would it actually take to fix desk-related pain, not just distract from it for an hour?

What we noticed...

People waited too long

Over a billion people worldwide work from their desks. Most of them will develop some kind of back, neck, or wrist pain because of it — not from one bad moment, but from ignoring the thousands of small ones, repeated every day.

General advice was not the solution

The usual advice is "get up and stretch more" or "buy a better chair." Both help a little. Neither actually solves the problem, because pain from sitting doesn't come from one cause — it comes from a lack of
support *while* you work, and a lack of active recovery *after* you work.

It's too difficult to guess what works for you

Everyone is different and experiences different aches and pains from their desks. So how do I find out exactly what I need and what works for me? That's why we researched and created the Everyday Recovery Bundle as each tool targets an individual area to help you narrow down the pain and understand how it can be addressed.

Our Story

We started kind of by accident...

ergotru started less as a grand mission and more as a coincidence. I set out to build something of my own — a chance to learn and build something I could be proud of.

While I was trying to figure out what that business should be, I was distracted by a very literal pain: my own back and wrists, sore from hours at a desk, had decided to think for me and gave me an idea.

Why we chose our products.

We don't manufacture our own products yet, and I want to be upfront about that. What we do instead is test, research and compare products from different producers around the world. Finding the ones that meet our own bar for build quality, comfort, and results — backed by real research, not just good reviews.

The Everyday Recovery Bundle

Research

How we built the Everyday Recovery Bundle.

Percussion Therapy - ergoRelief Pro

In a 2024 clinical study, patients with non-specific lower back pain rated their pain at 65.6 out of 100 before treatment. After three sessions of percussion massage combined with passive stretching, average pain scores fell to 33.5. A 49% drop in reported lower-back pain after 3 sessions.

Lumbar Support - ergoRest

Academic product-design research into lumbar supports identifies prolonged, unsupported sitting as a primary driver of lower-back strain among desk workers, and shows that a pillow engineered to the "3F" standard Form · Fit · Function is what separates an effective lumbar support from a decorative one.

Wrist Rest Cushion - ergoWrist

EMG research shows forearm muscle activity rises sharply once the wrist bends away from its natural resting angle of roughly 7–9° extension. A separate keyboard-ergonomics study found that supporting the forearm and wrist significantly cut muscle load in the forearm and upper back — and that foam- or gel-filled rest outperformed a bead-filled one.

Resistance Band - ergoBand

Comparative training studies found elastic resistance bands produced strength gains close to conventional gym equipment — a 14% gain in back-extension strength versus 14% with weight machines, and similar results for rowing — making a portable band a credible substitute for a desk-bound body that needs to move and stretch.

Why is Delivery so long?

We agree; right now delivery is longer than we'd like too, but we'd rather take 9–15 days to get you products we genuinely stand behind than rush you something lower quality overnight. Every order is tracked from the moment it ships, and every purchase is covered by our 15-day money-back guarantee — so if something isn't right, it's on us to fix it, not you.
